The Fall 2025 recruitment period is open to students from all countries from March 27th, 2025 to July 1st, 2025. We will be reviewing applications throughout the summer and will be notifying students of their acceptance or rejection in our program by August 31st, 2025.
Eligibility
Ages 13-17 at the time of the program.
If your birthday does not fall within these ranges your application will not be accepted.
- To participate in the Fall 2025 semester, your birthdate must fall within the following range:
You must be or turn 13 by September 1st 2025.
You must NOT turn 18 before May 1st 2026.
All applications MUST be submitted in English.
Have a keen interest in STEM and a flexible, team-focused mindset
Interested in meeting students from around the world
Be able to participate in the Junior Academy in English
Team player looking to solve real-world challenges on an international team of peers
Participate on a team in the Fall 2025 semester
Please Note: Students who are already part of the Junior Academy on Launchpad do NOT need to apply again!

If you don’t have an account yet, click the “Register” button, create your account, and then proceed with your application. By creating an account, you will be able to save your application and return to it at any time.
Students: please fill out your name and the email that you use and have access to. The email you register with will be the email that we use to communicate with you!

Within the application, you must fill out a parental consent form. Please have your parent or guardian sign (we will need a signature) and date the form. Please upload all pages to your application.

The Junior Academy is a passionate community of problem solvers made up of talented students, STEM experts, and industry leaders from around the world. Junior Academy members are dedicated to designing innovative solutions to society’s greatest challenges! The Junior Academy is part of the New York Academy of Sciences' education initiative that introduces passionate students to an online community where they gain access to best-in-class STEM resources and work together to solve real-world problems. STEM professionals mentor student teams during 8-10 week virtual innovation challenges, with multiple challenges a year for participants to choose from.
